Say goodbye to etch marks
Lemon, lime, vinegar, wine, tomato sauce and coffee won't leave dull marks on your marble.
StainZero is a crystal-clear anti-etch coating and stainproof sealer for marble and other natural stone countertops. It stops etching and staining from lemon, lime, vinegar, wine, tomato sauce, coffee, oil and ketchup before they start. StainZero is UV-cured on site, never needs resealing, is food-safe once cured, and is backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Residential etch marks and stains are removed before the coating is applied. StainZero is available in Matte, SemiSheen and High Gloss, with countertop edges coated at no extra charge. A regular marble sealer slows stains but cannot stop etching, because it soaks into the stone and acid still reaches the surface. StainZero sits on top of the stone, which is the difference that makes it anti-etch. Installation is performed only by factory-trained Certified StainZero Applicators — it is not a do-it-yourself product. Most projects take one to two days. MarblePros is a Certified StainZero Applicator based at 57 West 57th Street in Manhattan, New York, serving Manhattan and New York City, Westchester County, Nassau County, Suffolk County and the Hamptons. MarblePros has restored stone in New York since 1994. For a free consultation, call (212) 347-8422.

Won't etch your marble
In Short
You chose marble because it's beautiful. Marble isn't fragile — it's acid-sensitive, and almost nothing you cook with is neutral.
What an anti-etch and stainproof sealer is
An anti-etch and stainproof sealer for countertops is a clear coating applied over natural stone that stops both etching and staining — the two different ways marble gets damaged.
Etching is physical damage: acid from lemon, lime, vinegar, wine, tomato sauce or coffee dissolves the polished surface and leaves a dull, lighter mark that will not wipe away. Staining is discoloration that soaks into the stone, from oil, wine or coffee.
A regular penetrating sealer only slows stains, because it soaks into the stone and acid still reaches the surface. StainZero is an anti-etch sealer: it sits on top of the stone, so acid never touches it. That is what makes it etch-proof as well as stainproof.
One squeeze of lemon, a splash of wine or the wrong cleaner can leave dull etch marks in minutes. Regular sealers slow down stains, but they can't stop etching. So you end up with coasters everywhere and countertops you're afraid to use.
StainZero changes that. It's a crystal-clear protective coating that stops etching and stains before they start, so you can cook, entertain and live on your marble without a second thought.

The Difference
A regular sealer soaks into the stone. StainZero sits on top of it — which is the whole reason it can stop etching, and not just slow down stains.

StainZero is a crystal-clear anti-etch coating and stainproof sealer for marble and other natural stone. It stops etching and staining on countertops, islands, bar tops, vanities and tables, and it's backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
The most reliable way to stop marble from etching is a protective coating like StainZero, which keeps acids from ever touching the stone. Regular sealers can't stop etching, because they soak into the marble and acid still reaches the surface.
Yes, if you want to stop etching. A regular sealer only slows down stains and needs to be reapplied. StainZero sits on top of the stone, stops both etching and stains, and never needs resealing.

A stain is discoloration that soaks into the stone — wine, oil or coffee. An etch is physical damage: acid dissolves the polished surface and leaves a dull, lighter mark that won't wipe away. Sealers address stains. Only an anti-etch coating addresses etching.
StainZero protects against etching and stains from everyday spills, including lemon, lime, vinegar, wine, tomato sauce, coffee, oil and ketchup.
StainZero does not protect against scratches, chips or heat damage. Use cutting boards and trivets, and lift heavy items instead of sliding them. If damage happens, a Certified Applicator can spot-repair the area.
StainZero protects marble, limestone, travertine, onyx and other acid-sensitive stone. It's made for interior countertops, kitchen islands, bar tops, bathroom vanities, and dining and coffee tables. It is not intended for floors or walls.
StainZero never needs resealing. Residential installations are covered by StainZero's Lifetime Limited Warranty for as long as you own the coated surface.
No. StainZero is not a do-it-yourself product. It's installed only by factory-trained Certified StainZero Applicators, and professional installation is required for the warranty.
StainZero is crystal clear and keeps your stone's natural color and veining. On some white marbles it can slightly deepen the white, much like stone looks when it's wet. You'll usually only notice it next to uncoated stone, like a marble backsplash.
StainZero is crystal clear, and you choose the finish: Matte, SemiSheen or High Gloss, so it matches the look you want. A test spot on your own stone lets you see it before your project begins.
StainZero comes in three finishes: Matte for a soft, natural look, SemiSheen for a gentle satin glow, and High Gloss for a bright, polished shine. Every finish gives the same protection.
Yes. Ask for a test spot before your full installation. It's the best way to choose your finish with confidence.
No. StainZero is non-yellowing and stays crystal clear. For everyday cleaning, use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Skip bleach and other harsh chemicals: over time they can dull or discolor almost any surface, including marble itself.
Yes. Countertop edges are coated with StainZero as standard, at no extra charge.
Yes. Your stone is restored before StainZero is applied, which removes existing etch marks and most stains. Deep or long-set stains may need extra treatment and are assessed during your consultation.
Most StainZero projects are completed in one to two days, depending on the size of your surfaces and how much prep work is needed.
StainZero is cured on site with a professional UV curing lamp, which gives a fast, complete cure.
Yes. StainZero is solvent-free. You may notice a mild odor while it's being applied, so keep family members and pets out of the work area until it's cured, usually within an hour. Once cured, there's no odor.
Yes. StainZero is food-safe once cured, so you can prepare food directly on your countertops.
Clean StainZero-protected countertops with a soft microfiber cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach and ammonia, and use cutting boards, trivets and coasters.
No. StainZero never needs to be resealed. There's nothing to reapply.
A Certified StainZero Applicator can spot-repair the damaged area, so you don't need to redo the whole countertop. Repair pricing depends on how much repair is needed, so the area is assessed before you get a quote.
